I moved to Houston after six months of marriage. I began a productive career in the Administrative field after coming to Houson, TX. Moved to Colorado to attend Colorado State University. When I got pregnant with my first daughter we moved back to Texas. I was laid off three times over three years and working for a Software development company when I decided to stay home and play mommy. But couldn't stay away from the O&G so I cam to my present job working for Diamond Offshore Drilling. I work in the Health, Safety & Environmental Division and I have been here for 6 years and plan to stay quite a while. This particular position was tailor made for me (because I am almost a treehugger). I get to coordinate rescues of stray animals off the rigs and make sure the waste generated from maintaining the rigs does not get "dumped" into our waters. I also facilitate the drug screening of the company and I get to travel some. I enjoy it very much. I am presently separated. But, still happy :) I have enjoyed hearing from all of my firends. I was unable to attend the reunion due to surgery, but look forward to the next one. |
