Bonnie Martin Corpus Christi, Texas Bonnie Joe Collins Martin, 64, of Corpus Christi, Texas, was born January 7, 1942, and passed away on August 5, 2006. She was a retired public school teacher with 33 years experience; she retired in December 2002. From 1969 until 1975 she taught in Robstown ISD. Her last 27 years as an educator were spent at Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Mildred (Sally) Collins and by her husband of 41 years, Tommy Martin. Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Joni Jo Martin; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Edward Livsey; her niece, Amy Livsey; her nephew, Jay Livsey; her uncle and aunt, Jack and Agnes Collins; first cousins, Mildred Wright Lang, Sue Sammons Rutkowski, Ted Sammons, Butch Sammons and Terri Collins Danz. Bonnie also leaves hundreds of friends and former students who will always cherish the unconditional love and acceptance that she sincerely offered to them for decades. Bonnies family wishes to thank Paula Cavazos for the loving, personal care that she gave to Bonnie for the past month. Visitation will be held between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 7, 2006 at Seaside Funeral Home. The funeral service will be onTuesday, August 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park immediately following the chapel service. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Bonnies memory may make contributions to Foster Angels of South Texas Foundation, P. O. Box 3488, Corpus Christi, Texas, 78463-3488. Your gifts will assist with the continuing educations of young people who have aged-out of the foster care system. |
